Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series: The most prominent correspondent represented in this subseries is Eli Kirk Price, who served as vice president of the Commission until his death in 1933. Price was also the Museum's corporate president from 1927 to 1933. The other individual correspondents are Thomas Martin, Commission secretary until 1937, and William Frey, who served as assistant secretary and later as assistant treasurer. Of the few files identified by collection name, two pertain to collections that, although cared for by the museum, are actually the property of the City of Philadelphia. The collections of both John G. Johnson and John Howard McFadden came to reside at PMA during Kimball's earlier years at the museum.
