Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series: The two files of correspondence in this sub-subseries focus on the efforts of two Philadelphia-area women. In addition to her numerous book donations that reflected her interest in manuscripts, Beatrice Fox Griffith (Mrs. Charles Francis) also helped fund the furnishing of the library and participated in social fundraisers on its behalf. In the file of papers regarding the salary for a reading room assistant, the efforts of Ingrid K. Bohlen (Mrs. Francis H.) to raise such funds are clear....
