Curtis Institute of Music. Sunday concerts of chamber music by students. 1928-1929 season. Correspondence, 1928-1929
Scope and Contents
Most of these files document events hosted by the museum. While some events represented here tied-in with the museum's collections, such as the opening of the Oriental Wing, other programs focused on performance arts, such as chamber music concerts. Other files document the frequent use by other organizations of the museum's galleries and other spaces to hold their special events, which were usually for fundraising purposes. Also included here is a file pertaining to the 1950 Philadelphia Award dinner. Kimball received the award that year in honor of his quarter-century of service as director of the museum. The files identified as "non-PMA" document events not associated with the museum but in which Kimball was involved, or involved PMA marginally.
