Public programs and services, 1926-1954, undated

 Sub-Series

Scope and Contents

This subseries covers a variety of programs and services the museum offered to its members and to the general public. The "Events" sub-subseries consists of museum-sponsored affairs as well as special events hosted by other organizations. Several events not held at the PMA but in which Kimball was involved are also included. The "Publications" sub-subseries documents some of the journals and books the museum published or, in the case of the "Masterpieces" catalogue, had hoped to publish. The "Publicity" sub-subseries consists of various press releases as well as papers regarding other public outreach programs, such as radio and TV interviews and lectures held outside of the museum. The "Other programs and services" sub-subseries consists of a small amount of material regarding the museum's membership development, a museum training course, and documentation of subjects related to certain visitor amenities, such as the restaurant and sales desk.
