The Office of the Secretary of the Corporation Records are the physical property of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Archives. The Museum holds literary rights only for material created by Museum personnel or given to the Museum with such rights specifically assigned. For all other material, literary rights, including copyright, belong to the authors or their legal heirs and assigns. Researchers are responsible for obtaining permission from rights holders for publication and for other purposes where stated.

Biographical / Historical

The records of the Office of the Secretary of the Corporation were generated by the Secretaries and Controllers who followed the tenure of Julius Zieget. Serving as Secretary were William Graham (1963-1965), William H. Noble (1965-1972), George Howard (1975), and John Sharpe (1980-). Serving as Controller were Graham (1965), Howard (1966-1975), and Sharpe (1975). The offices of Secretary and Controller performed similar duties.
