The records consist of correspondence, Board of Governors dissolution material (1964), Capital Budget Programs, Financial Records, Board of Trustees lists and President's Reports, Director's Reports from the Annual Report, Committees and Resolutions, as well as Fairmount Park Commission Reports.

The Presidents' Office Records are the physical property of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Archives. The Museum holds literary rights only for material created by Museum personnel or given to the Museum with such rights specifically assigned. Researchers are responsible for obtaining permission from rights holders for publication and for other purposes where stated.
Biographical / Historical
From the terms of Bernice McIlhenny Wintersteen to that of Robert Montgomery Scott, some of the Presidents' special files were set aside and carried forward with additions made to them. These files were administered by Madeleine de Miege until 1973, Lolita D. Dyson from 1973 through 1976, and by Melissa M. Paisley after that. These people served as Assistants to the President of the Corporation.
