Exhibitions, 1921-2005
Scope and Contents
Exhibitions from 1921 through approximately 1981 are the most organized. After 1981, the material becomes less organized. Occasionally there are images of individual objects that were in exhibitions filed alongside the exhibition images themselves. Towards the middle of the 2000s, digital photography started to take over and the Rights and Reproduction files become less robust.
Most of the exhibition images in this collection are in black and white. Color photography of exhibitions started with slides only, and there may be some exhibitions and installations which are documented only through color slides. Please also see the Museum Slide Collection.
