This set of research files provides insight into the conceptual organization of "Mad for Modernism". Materials are grouped into three themes of study: biographical information on Earl Horter, materials pertaining to contemporary collectors of modern art, and collections of African sculpture and Native American art. Each theme focuses on important subjects, personalities, and institutions that affected Horter as an artist and collector.
