Unprocessed material, circa 1925-1952
Scope and Contents
Material consists of correspondence, reports, legal documents and minutes, and documents various subjects. Of note is a folder that contains correspondence and reports pertaining to bequests, contributions and Fiske Kimball's resignation. A signed copy of the letter of hire from John McIlhenny to Kimball is also included in the folder. The next two subgroups consists of files identified as "Mortgage and Finance Committee," and "Foulc Collection." The former contains 13 files, and the latter has nine. The final set of records pertain to the Committee on Museum and consists of minutes to meetings held from 1928 to February 1950 and related papers, such as the director's marked-up report and meeting agenda. Although Zieget was not a member of th Committee on Museum, as secretary of the corporation, he prepared, finalized, and distributed the committee's minutes.
