Chapter 14. "Countercurrents." Frank Lloyd Wright section. Research material. "Taliesin" material, 1940-1949, undated
Scope and Contents
Kimball long planned a revised edition of "American Architecture," but it was never published. The files consist of Kimball's extensive research material on architects such as Frank Lloyd Wright, Berthram Grosvenor Goodhue, and John Russell Pope; structure types, including bridges, hotels, and apartments; and subjects, specifically industrial and regional architecture. Also includes revised versions of the introduction, bibliography, and most chapters, including major additions to the Frank Lloyd Wright section of the "Countercurrents" chapter. Kimball's supporting material for the Wright section includes correspondence, a variety of Taliesin pamphlets, and an autographed copy of Wright's autobiography.
