Books, 1907-1957, undated

This subseries is comprised of manuscripts, typescripts, research material, illustrations, correspondence and other material documenting several published and unpublished books by Kimball. In addition, the subseries also includes material related to H. Langford Warren's "The Foundations of Classic Architecture," which Kimball edited for publication following the death of the author. Like his articles and book reviews, most of Kimball's books pertain to French and early American architectural topics, specifically Colonial and Early Republica domestic architecture in America, and Rococo interior decoration in France. Material relating to Kimball's books on Thomas Jefferson and Samuel McIntire are processed in those individual subseries.
