The Appreciation of Architecture, circa 1916
Scope and Contents
The material included in this sub-subseries is a mix of notes for lectures and writings about the aesthetics of architecture. It is clear that Kimball intended to publish a book called "The Appreciation of Architecture," although this work never coherently materialized. The research Kimball did for this book, however, was not entirely abandoned. Elements found in the outlines, drafts, and notes appear in his later writings such as "American Architecture."
