Scope and Contents

This exhibition was arranged and held jointly by the National Gallery of Art and Library of Congress, and Kimball was appointed to its Advisory Committee. In addition to offering assistance and advice in locating, displaying and shipping relevant works, he presented a lecture at the National Gallery on the life portraits of Jefferson during the exhibition opening. The records consists mainly of Kimball's correspondence with the organizing institutions.
