Scope and Contents

Kimball was a member of this commission created by Congress in June 1934 for the purpose of directing the erection of a memorial to the third United States President, Thomas Jefferson. In addition, he was a member of the committee to select an artist for the full-length statue of Jefferson. The memorial was dedicated on April 13, 1943, the 200th anniversary of the birth of Thomas Jefferson.
