Fundraising and early publicity, 1922-1953, undated

 Sub-Series

Scope and Contents

The subseries title reflects the museum's combination of fundraising with its publicity efforts during the 1920s and 1930s. As evidenced in some of the earlier correspondence, Kimball intended to hire one person to oversee both functions. Documentation consists of correspondence as well as a variety of materials Kimball apparently used to develop a network of donors for needed funds that would cover the purchase of objects.
