Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series: In late February of 1970, the Decorative Arts departments opened an exhibition of recent acquisitions that was known as "Made in Pennsylvania." The exhibition featured Pennsylvania craftsmanship through silver smithing, cabinet making, and painting. The selection process used was rather unusual, as the PMA judged works for the exhibition based on rareness, exceptional workmanship, and the manner in which they illustrated their time period.
