On November 22, 1969, the PMA opened the exhibition "The Campbell Museum Collection." The exhibition was comprised of nearly one hundred 18th and 19th century silver and ceramic soup tureens, soup ladles, and soup plates, all from the Campbell Museum in Camden, New Jersey. The pieces on display were acquired from various countries including China, France, Germany, and England. The show closed on December 30, 1969.
