"Threads of History: The Romance of Fibers in Decorative Textiles, 2500 B.C. - 2000 A.D," was a travelling exhibition circulated by the American Federation of Art. The show was held from May 20, 1966 to June 19, 1966. It was comprised of several hundered contemporary furnishing fabrics and close to one hundred examples of historic textiles.
