By 1934, the year he wrote his final article for Antiques magazine, Kimball already was planning to assemble these writings and any later related findings into a book devoted to McIntire furniture. Based on comments in the preface to his 1940 publication of McIntire's architectural designs, Kimball still was planning to write such a volume.
