The material in this subseries divides into two general groups. The first documents individual catalog entries. Most of the material is Goodrich's correspondence with the private collectors, public institutions, galleries and auction houses holding works by Eakins, or those individuals who could help Goodrich locate the current owner. Because of Eakins' portraits of various church leaders, there is significant correspondence with several religious organizations, particularly Saint Charles...
