Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series: The earliest minutes in this record group for the Committee on Museum begin with its October 7, 1885 meeting. The committee, however, apparently existed prior to that date. In the Board of Trustee minutes pertaining to bylaw amendments presented on January 24, 1882, the "Committee on Museum Collections" comprised one of the standing committees and was "in charge of all objects in the Museum and of their arrangement and exhibition."
