From the Series:

Photocopied photographs, newspaper clippings, and manuscripts from the Ingersoll family photography albums and scrapbooks chosen by Anne d'Harnoncourt and Innis Shoemaker in 1997 to be part of the museum's records. Robert Sturgis Ingersoll, a member of the Ingersoll family, was an art collector and Philadelphia local, a director and trustee of many local organizations, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Original items were loaned to the PMA by Mr. Perry Benson Jr. and Marion F. B. Miller, photocopies were taken and retained by the PMA. Photocopies were made in 1997 by the Philadelphia Museum of Art while the Ingersoll family albums and scrapbooks were on loan.
