Contains mostly correspondence to Julius Bloch ranging from personal matters to business matters to political matters. Notably, there are letters from First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt to Bloch about purchasing his artwork and visiting his studio in Philadelphia. There is also a letter from Langston Hughes to Bloch regarding an art show in San Francisco in reaction to the Scottsboro boys trials of the early 1930s.
