Anna H. Wilstach Bequest - Inventories, 1936
Scope and Contents
The first series consists of scrapbooks documenting the museum's early years through to the opening of the new building and ending in 1933. Also included are several copies of the Annual Reports of the Commissioners of Fairmount Park and half-tone plates used in annual reports.
The second series contains records of Bequests of the museum by benefactors. These are primarily financial records, including bank books, but also correspondence around the acquisition of objects using bequest funds. These records were transfered to the Museum from the Fairmount Park Commission at a later date than the scrapbooks found in the first series.
