U.S. history. 150th anniversary, 1926
Scope and Contents
Most of the topics identified in this subseries relate generally or tangentially to Kimball's studies in art, architecture and early American history. The unidentified photograph of a cat and dog is an exception. While clippings and photographs comprise most of the documentation, there are also a series of oversize photostats Kimball made of the architectural drawings of John McComb Jr., the architect who designed New York City's Old City Hall of 1811. Correspondence and a few catalogues are also included, as well as a special issue of Vanity Fair devoted to America's Sesquicentennial.
