Illustrations of decorative art pieces comprise the bulk of documentation in this subseries, suggesting that Kimball relied on design books published by or about 18th and 19th century cabinetmakers and other carvers. Many of Kimball's images note The Gentleman and Cabinet Maker's Director by Thomas Chippendale as their source. Along with English furniture designs, there are also many images of French and American pieces. Kimball kept negatives of these illustrations and often attached a print of the image to the original envelope. Other documentation includes clippings, glass plate negatives and notes, as well as a 1923 issue of Gazette Des Beaux-Arts and a syllabus of a course on the History of Woven fabrics given in 1916 by R. Meyer-Riefstahl. The several files of art objects pertain to paintings and architectural elements, as well as a statue of William Pitt, a medallion of George Washington, and an engraving entitled "The Concert."
