Other published writings, circa 1924-1940, 1947

 Sub-Series

Scope and Contents

The earliest writing documented in this sub-subseries is a bound reprint of "The Elias Hasket Derby Mansion in Salem" published in the Essex Institute Historical Collections (July 1924). While the manuscripts and typescript pertain to the 1924 study, the printed copy contains Kimball's notations indicating some of the revisions that were incorporated into the Derby Mansion entry appearing in the 1940 publication. The remaining writings are biographical entries Kimball wrote for the Dictionary of American Biography (circa 1933) and the Encyclopedia Britannica (1947). Documentation consists of manuscripts and typescripts.
