Pennsylvania Company Correspondence, 1930
Scope and Contents
This sub-subseries contains correspondence with the trustees of the Collection, the Pennsylvania Company for Insurances on Lives and Granting Annuities--otherwise referred to as the Pennsylvania Company. By 1972 it was operating as First Pennsylvania Bank. This correspondence overwhelmingly describes forwarded bills accrued in the maintenance of the Johnson Collection and the production of publications and exhibitions. Also included are requests to the Pennsylvania Company for approval on projects outside the scope of routine maintenance of the collection.
Correspondence of the Trustee created after 1972 is included in the "General" sub-subseries of the "1973-1992" subseries. "Trustee" folder titles also reflect the later name changes of the bank; namely First Pennsylvania Bank and Core States Trust and Investment Group.
