Identification signs. Various material, incl. proofs and blueprints, circa 1928-1931

 File — Box: 144, Folder: 7

Scope and Contents

From the Sub-Series:

Whereas the "Objects and related topics" series documents specific objects offered to and/or acquired by the museum during Kimball's tenure , this sub-subseries consists primarily of information concerning objects in general. The only files pertaining to identified objects are two of the "Gifts in kind" folders, which consist of lists of objects on loan to the museum. The "Private collections to be canvassed" files, as originally entitled by Kimball, apparently served as an ever-growing cache of potential donors for works of art. The files consist primarily of numerous small pieces of paper, filled with biographical notations and other information about the collector.
