Zigrosser, Carl, 1891-1975

This collection consists primarily of the materials Carl Zigrosser began to compile in 1942 about American artists, which he called the Archives of American Art.

The collection consists of photocopied letters, articles, book excerpts, receipts, and prints pertaining to individuals and artists involved with both Mexico and modern printmaking.

This collection contains correspondence and research from the Prints Department at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

This collection contains materials gathered by Richard S. Field during his research for the PMA exhibition, "Silk Screen: History of a Medium," 1972. It includes correspondence with artists and commercial screen printers, photographs, and various publications.
