Scope and Contents

Comprised of sketches, prints, letters, and posters created by Isaiah Zagar and his wife, Julia Papiroff Zagar, dated between 1963 and 1969. The collection mostly consists of objects sent to Bob Rosen, the donor's uncle. Many of the items date from Zagar and Papiroff’s time in the Peace Corp in addition to various drawings and records relating to their life in Philadelphia. Includes items including gallery annoucements, family birth and wedding annoucements, and letters from Zagar to Rosen descrbing Peru. There are also many sketches and drawings, some signed and dated, in a wide variety of mediums.

Abstract

The Isaiah Zagar Collection contains archival material relating to the artist Isaiah Zagar. Many objects are from Zagar's time in the Peace Corp in Peru as well as other letters, posters, family annoucements, and sketches and drawings.
